Season Presented by

Shane Stafford

Offensive Coordinator

Shane Stafford brings a whole lot of playing and coaching experience to the Blackjacks. His strong determination and deep passion mix together perfectly and hopefully can lead this team to a strong inaugural season.

Stafford played college football at the University of Connecticut, where he finished second in career passing yards (8,975), attempts (1,026), completions (563), and total offense (8,829) in school history. Stafford also is tied for the school’s all-time touchdown passing leader with 73. He owns the best passer rating in school history at 143.4.

He first played for the Tallahassee Thunder after his college years. The following season he made his AFL debut with the Tampa Bay Storm in 2001-2002 and again played for the Storm from 2004-2006. Stafford holds the Storm single-season records for completions (408), passing yards (4,793) and touchdown passes (86). In 2007 and 2008 he received the Al Lucas Hero Team award for his efforts.

Stafford then began his coaching career with the same Tampa Bay Storm from 2016-2016 as an offensive assistant. The next season he was the offensive assistant for the Washington Valor and finally this year is our very own offensive assistant.
